Critiquing of training materials and capacity building for SDRRT [Philippines]
From February 20th to 22nd, SEEDS Asia and Department of Education (DepEd) Regional Office VII organized a meeting to develop the School-based Disaster Risk Reduction Training Program and conducted training on public speaking and facilitation skills for School Disaster Risk Reduction Trainer (SDRRT) members.
During this meeting, the School Disaster Risk Reduction – Task Force (SDRR-TF), SDRRT, and personnel from the DepEd Regional Office 7’s Human Resource Development Department discussed the training materials for the program.
Regarding the training for SDRRT, two members of SDRR-TF, who have extensive experience conducting training for many teachers, served as instructors and provided training to improve SDRRT’s public speaking and facilitation skills.
After further discussions on the training program, we plan to conduct a pilot introduction of the training at a model school this July!
