Provision of clean-up kits for recovery of the schools damaged from the 2021 Typhoon Odette [Philippines]
Storm damage from Typhoon Odette which struck the Central Philippines in December 2021 still persists.
SEEDS Asia implemented a project in the Philippines for recovery of schools damaged from the 2021 Typhoon Odette, with support from the Japan Platform, which provides generator sets and clean-up kits to affected schools.
In the latter half of April, SEEDS Asia visited schools and Department of Education division offices with the clean-up kits including chainsaws. However, some divisions still have schools that need further repair and clean-up, especially those located far from the city/municipality’s central areas. We will partner with DepEd offices to realize the recovery of such schools soon.
