Commemorative event at Naganuma district [Nagano/Japan]
It has been a year since Typhoon Hagibis devastated eastern Japan in 2019. SEEDS Asia would like to take the opportunity to express our sincere prayers to those who lost their lives, and our thoughts go out to all the people who were affected by the typhoon.
On 11th October, SEEDS Asia members visited Naganuma District in Nagano City, one of the districts that was flooded when a dike burst its banks along the Chikuma river. A ceremony was held for the commemoration of the disaster on that day and witnessing the event made us reaffirm our commitment to work with local stakeholders for the recovery of affected communities.
