Ensuring that activities continue even after an international project is completed, is always a challenge.

SEEDS Asia handed over the Citizens Disaster Activity Center it set up in Varanasi, India to the local National Disaster Response Force when the project completed in 2019.

Since then, the center has organized a number of training sessions on disaster management and response to the on-going coronavirus crisis. Local DRR leaders and DRR “Brand Ambassadors” trained by the project have also been active themselves in capacity building for other community leaders.
