Kallyanpur community in Ward 11 joined us as a new DRR community! The group of residence in Kallyanpur area started a policing community in 1991 to make the area safer. Looking at their neighbor, Paikpara community which has worked with SEEDS Asia since last year, Kallyanpur community decided to work on DRR as well. December 1, led by their young members, the community conducted a town watching to revisit their locality to identify safe and dangerous points. In this area, ward councilor and residents worked together to make the street wider and cleaner. Now it’s as wide as emergency vehicles can pass through. Looking forward to seeing how the community is going to make themselves stronger to disasters going forward!
