Tamba City Study Tour for Hyogo Uni [Tamba/Japan]
From 29th to 30th October, four students and 2 professor/lecturer from Graduate School of Disaster Resilience and Governance, University of Hyogo, participated in the study tour in Tamba City. On the first day, they spent time for seminar presentations, then experienced harvesting beans (famous Tamba’s black beans!) and potatoes in a disaster-affected field back in 2014. On the next day, they met the community leader of Kita-Okamoto to hear about their initiatives in forest management and to take a walk in the actual forest. Hiramatsu District Forest Club in Kasuga-cho also entertained the visitors by mushroom harvesting and pizza making experience in addition to introducing forestry activities such as tree thinning and chip producing with bamboos. There are delicious food, great people and interesting learning in Tamba City. Please join Tamba City Study Tour whose contents can be customized based on your own requests!
