Safety Awareness Workshop in Cebu City [Philippines]
On October 18th and 19th, SEEDS Asia conducted a School Safety Awareness Workshop in Cebu City. On the first day, participants discussed Standard Operating Procedures of Safety inspection through an workshop. On the second day, we conducted a Safety inspection and critiqued checklists. Based on comments of stakeholders, the school will further improve Safety inspection checklists. Local Government Unit Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Office, Office of the Building Official, Bureau of Fire Protection, Parent-Teacher Association, Department of Education DRRM Coordinator, Engineer, Department of Public Works and Highways, Department of Engineering and Public Works, Department of Social Welfare and Development, City Health Department, Cebu City Transportation Office, and other stakeholders totaling around 50 participated to the event.
