Caravan, MTG with SDRRM-IT [Philippines]
July 2nd, Department of Education (DepEd) Region 7 simultaneously celebrated the National Disaster Resilience Month and Nutrition Month in a form of a Caravan to raise awareness on DRRM as well as promotion of health and wellness in the school community. SEEDS Asia was invited as one of the guest speakers to talk about global blueprint on DRRM specifically the transition from Hyogo to Sendai Framework.
On June 29th, SEEDS Asia conducted a meeting with School DRRM Instructing Team (SDRRM-IT) for the critiquing of Safety Inspection Manual template. During this activity, the team were divided into three groups to evaluate the template, provide inputs and references as teachers’ guide in creating the localized manual.
On July 20th, another meeting was conducted with SDRRM-IT for scheduling Safety Inspection with the 10 Pilot Schools, and Monitoring and Evaluation system.
