On June 16, Ms.Purnima, one of the members of the Benares Club who received a DRR Training last week. She is also one of those people who takes an action to make her surrounding safer. She invited SEEDS Asia to have a lecture about DRR at a youth detention center where she has been doing volunteer work. SEEDS Asia talked about air pollution, which is a very serious issue in Varanasi. Also, we explained how to protect ourselves when an earthquake strikes, and practiced this together with youth so that they can take an immediate action in case of a disaster event.
