School Safety Inspection Meetings [Philippines]
SEEDS Asia finally finished its Safety Inspection Meeting with Pilot Schools in the whole Cebu Province, Toledo City on April 12th, Lapu-lapu City on 13th, Naga City on 16th, Carcar City on 17th, Mandaue City on 18th, Talisay City on 19th, and Cebu City on 23rd. The Safety Inspection Meeting was an introductory meeting on creating safety inspection manual tailor-fitted to each Pilot Schools. This manual shall become their guidelines on doing inspection to ensure school populace are free from any risk. Aside from the 12 School DRRM Team, other attendees during this meeting were LGU particularly the Local DRRM Office of their respective city, Office of the Building Office (OBO), and DepEd Division Engineer who shared their ordinances, practices and current inspection standards to teachers. Their participation on this meeting plays a vital role in giving inputs when the manual is drafted. The meeting also involves giving Pre-Training Orientation for the 12 Teachers who will be attending the Teacher’s Training this April 29-May 4, 2018.
