Post training workshop [Philippines]
On December 11-13, 2017 – SEEDS Asia successfully finished the 3-day Post Training Workshop to continue the discussion on creating the School DRR Management (SDRRM) Operations Guideline, Activity Plan, for the support project on the promotion of School DRRM in Cebu Province. This was attended by DepEd (Department of Education) DRRM Coordinators of 10 Divisions in Cebu Province who are the core trainers of the project. The SDRRM Operations Guideline is fundamental guide on Comprehensive School Safety Framework which aims to achieve a safe, resilient and sustainable learning environment for students in the whole Region. The meeting also involves assignment of tasks for the content write-up of the Operations guideline and drafting of teacher’s training design to be implemented next year. At the end of the meeting, the collaborative efforts of the core trainers resulted in a tangible draft of Operations guideline from which all are hoping to emanate an effective framework for all the schools in Cebu Province.
