July 20, news managers’ from leading media organizations met to discuss mainstreaming DRR reporting. Japanese disaster reporting was shared at the meeting. The wrap up session finalized recommendations that includes starting a new disaster beat in the newsrooms and media acting as a pressure group to include DRR in an official policy.
