DRR Education Training [Philippines]
DepEd Naga City Division with the support from their City Government, conducted a 3-day DRR Education Training last June 14-16, 2017 for the other schools under the Division in order to sustain DRRE implementation. SEEDS Asia recently concluded and turned-over the ‘Project for Capacity Building on Disaster Risk Reduction Education Through Cooperation with Local Community in Cebu Province” last March 2017 to its beneficiaries. The DRRE-trained Promotion School Teachers under the Naga City Division, Balirong Elementary School,
served as the Division’s trainers for the all of the public schools within Naga City with school heads and school DRRM coordinators as trainee participants. This was conducted at Naga City Central Elementary School. This sustainability initiative from one of the Project beneficiaries is one proof of success for SEEDS Asia’s DRR Education Project.
