On May 10 and 11, 3rd ABU Media Summit on “Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction” was held in Dhaka and SEEDS Asia participated as delegates. On the first day, in the session on science in DRR, SEEDS Asia Varanasi project climate schools and Prahari student newspaper was discussed by the audience and many copies were distributed. On the second day our project in Dhaka on community based DRR was introduced in the “Walking the Last Mile” session. Also to note, SEEDS India won the Best Young Producer ABU award for its video clip on climate change. At the end, importance of disaster preparedness and adoption were agreed by all as the Dhaka declaration.
