Training on First-Aid and WASH-PHAST【India】
We organised the ‘Training on First-Aid and WASH-PHAST (sanitary and hygiene)’ in collaboration with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) at the Rajghat Besant School on 25-26 February 2017. The teachers and students from this school and the members of the Citizen Forum, the school’s associated society, attended the training. The training gave the participants practical knowledge and excellent experience as their feedbacks show: ‘I was longer to have such a training that I can gain practical knowledge, which can be used in my daily life’; ‘the lectures were so excellent that I did not realise time passed so quickly. Time flies when we are learning something new and interesting!’ Moreover, a participant reported that on the way back to home after attending the 1st day of the training, a lady was fainted in front of him and he immediately touched her neck to count her pulses to examine her conditions. NDRF has conducted its community based training for 4.5 million people throughout India since its foundation year of 2006. It was a great opportunity to have such an outstanding training from these experts.
