Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience in Education Forum [Philippines]
Part of the Project outputs is to share at the national level in the Philippines the initial progress of the DRR Education Project in Cebu Province and to impart the DRR Education System from Japan’s experience. Held on November 10, 2015 and co-organized by Department of Education (DepEd) National with SEEDS Asia and JICA is the “Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilience in Education Forum” at Bulwagan ng Karunungan Conference Hall, DepEd Central. The event was graced by the Secretary and Undersecretary of DepEd National, Japanese experts on DRR Education and Senior Officials of SEEDS Asia. In attendance are about 170 participants from the 17 DepEd Regions, selected DepEd Divisions, Schools, local government DRRM officers and concerned national government agencies among others.
