Nepal field report 22nd May [Nepal]

Update report from Nepal. On 22nd May, SEEDS Asia staffs visited Jhangajholi village in Sindhuli district for a meeting on relief material distribution and research about schools. In this village, almost all houses were collapsed and all 13 schools were damaged. Among the schools, 6 schools have totally collapsed and all schools are not able to reopen schools. Many teachers who belonged to the schools in remote area tend to go back to their hometown.

A mother  who has saved her money for long time as a pledge for  building new house got her house half damaged. It was almost finish building so that she was disappointed with the loans left behind. Since she ‘s afraid of aftershock, she now lives under a weather resistant shelter which was made of bamboo in the field.

Victims are craving for safety and feeling anxiety for future. We will find out what we can do for those victims through our activities. We look for your generous contribution.
