DRR activities 【Vietnam】
2 Nov, 2015, Nguyen Hien school, Nui Thanh: CWG members from WU and leader of Tam Anh Nam people’s committee to organize emergency bag making and DRR games for students of this school. Students were really enjoying participation in DRR activities. Here are some of students’ answers to trainers’ questions:
WU member: In case of typhoon, if your family have to evacuate but parents don’t want to go. Do you think you can persuade your parents? and after this activity, how will you consult your parents to evacuate?
Student: yes, I think I can do it. I will tell parents that if we evacuate, we will be alive, belongings can be reproduced; if not, we won’t have chance to reproduce them.
Trainer: After this DRR game, do you think what have you learnt?
Student 1: I learnt things to prepare before typhoon.
Student 2: I won’t litter at school or at home.
Student 3: I learnt things to do and not to do during typhoon.
Student 4: I can help my family with small thing I can do myself.
