Meeting for community study in Karakuwa [Tohoku/Japan]
On 19th and 20th May 2013, leaders of traditional performing art groups in Karakuwa had a meeting to plan a drama-making activity with children in the communities, and SEEDS Asia works as the secretariat. Ms. Keiko Yokota, an actress having such experiences as community drama-making workshops, presented her activities in Lyon, France which have informed the situations of affected areas and their reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts through her art exhibitions, and advised how to proceed the present activity in Karakuwa. The participants exchanged views on possible contents and how to confirm children’s participation. One participant presented his draft scinario, inspiring others, and enjoyed their discussion.
