Final WS and Certification Ceremony for DRR Leaders [Myanmar]
On 17th February, the final workshop of the project called “Enhancing Comprehensive School Safety in Collaboration with Community in Hinthada Township (2nd Year)” was held in collaboration with Federation of Myanmar Engineering Society and Department of Disaster Management, Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement! Director Mr. U Myo Aung in Hinthada District also attended the workshop/ceremony to award the representatives from 14 villages in in the Village Tract as DRR leaders who have undergone six months of disaster risk reduction training.
Sincere thanks to the leaders who prioritized the training for the safety of their villages, and those who have greatly supported the training: Director and Ministry of Education of Hinthada District, Department of Disaster Management, Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department, Department of Meteorology and Hydrology, Fire Services Department and Federation of Myanmar Engineering Society.
