Weather Observation Devices have been Donated from Kyoto East Rotary Club [Myanmar]
Kyoto East Rotary Club donated six sets of Stevenson screens and weather observation devices to Myanmar! These are to be utilised for enhanced understanding of climate and establishing early warning. The first set has been installed in the school-cum-shelter within Nabekone Village along with a session to learn about those devices. The village residents are interested by how something they feel daily can be quantified using these devices. They, including the children, have already started observation in order to understand the weather forecast better and possible risks before anything occurs! Rain gauges will also be installed in October, followed by a turn-over ceremony in November. We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude again to the people of Kyoto East Rotary Club.
