From 20th to 21st June, simulation exercise in case of cyclone was conducted by Relief and Resettlement Department (RRD) in Yangon in collaboration with DRR Working Group in Myanmar in Let Khoke Kone village. Local DRR leaders who had been participated in the JICA grassroots technical cooperation project implemented by SEEDS Asia until the last March played the leading role to implement the drill for their villagers. For 3 years, SEEDS Asia has coordinated for technical advise on overall simulation exercise and recording the exercise aimed at raising the public awareness and advocating the importance of disaster preparedness. The record of the exercise this year is going to be used for relevant activities to those purposes.
