The first meeting with technical advisory group for MCCDDM [Myanmar]
SEEDS Asia as a member of Myanmar Consortium for Capacity Development on Disaster Management (MCCDDM) participated in the first meeting with technical advisory group (TAG) for MCCDDM project on 8th March 2016 at Relief and Resettlement Department (RRD) office in Nay Pyi Taw. The major agenda was to brief TAG about activities under the MCCDDM project. SEEDS Asia briefed about its activities conducted such as workshop on Training-Research-Action including Assessment tools, 52 donated books related to disaster management and 232 books recommended list by SEEDS Asia, consultation meeting on partnership with universities and technical Institutions, scholarship for provided to researchers from Yangon Technological University and Department of Geography of Dagon University(as plan). A member of the TAG group, the Pro-Rector of Yangon Technological University, made a positive comment on the activities related to Action-Research and emphasized the importance of the linkage between research and action as well as coordination in Myanmar.
