Grand Opening Ceremony of Nabekone BEPS School-cum-Shelter [Myanmar]
On the completion of school-cum-shelter with multi-purpose hall, SEEDS Asia and the Federation of Myanmar Engineering Societies organised a grand opening ceremony to handover the buildings and equipment to school administration and disaster management committee of Nabekone Village on 2nd June, 2019. H.E. U Hla Moe Aung, Chief Minister for Ayeyarwady region and H.E. U Soe Aung, Deputy Minister for Ministry of Social Welfare and Relief and Resettlement, Dr. Hla Myat Twe, Ayeyarwady Regional Minister for Social Affairs, Parliament members, and concerned government officials from Ministry of Education and Constructions at Regional, District and Township level, 400 around community members and children participated the event. Individual donors for ramp construction and deep tube-well from both Myanmar and Japan also attended and could see their name on the list of contributors too. The event was broadcasted through Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV) throughout the country, that conveyed the importance of comprehensive school safety approach.
