The first training session for our project with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan on “Enhancing Comprehensive School Safety in Collaboration with Community” was completed with over 25 participants. We covered norms setting for the project, stakeholder analysis, how-to and draft of Village Disaster Management Committee, DRR introduction, and 8 hazards of Myanmar. It was wonderful to see the participants actively engaged in the discussion and taking ownership of strengthening DRR in their community.
