2nd Task Force meeting for DRR promotion [Philippines]
Second meeting with the School Disaster Risk Reduction (SDRR) Taskforce in the Philippines!
On 30th March, the second coordination meeting of the SDRR Taskforce members was organized at Department of Education (DepEd) Region VII Office. The Taskforce was created in February for the “Project on the Strengthening and Promoting School-based Disaster Risk Reduction in Central Visayas, Philippines”.
During the meeting, we discussed the School-based Disaster Risk Reduction Training Design, the selection procedure for a Model School which will serve as a research and development site for the Training Design and the selection process for School-based Disaster Risk Reduction Trainer (SDRRT) who will conduct the Training Design to all schools under DepEd Region VII.
SEEDS Asia will continue to work hand in hand with the Taskforce to develop a comprehensive and effective Training Design and roll-out plan to promote and strengthen School-based Disaster Risk Reduction in all schools in the Central Visayas region.
