SEEDS Asia’s Board Meeting and Annual General Meeting were held online for fiscal year 2021 on 28th May. We are celebrating our 15th anniversary in September since the organization obtained its official registration as a not-for-profit in Japan!

In this era of uncertainty with the pandemic and many other issues, we intend to redouble our efforts to take appropriate decisions to reach the most in need at the right time. Reviewing our achievements of the last fiscal year, members of SEEDS Asia confirmed that the “five connective approaches – 1. Policy and action, 2. Science and practice, 3. Kobe, Tohoku, Japan and Asia, 4. Environment and human living, and 5. Past, present and future” will be the basis for our initiatives to develop disaster-resilient human and community in this era, where anybody could be affected by a disaster.

We are hoping to make full use of our cumulative expertise in respecting and collating locally nurtured knowledge, skills and capacities in disaster risk reduction. We take this opportunity to reiterate our commitment to these aims, hope for your continued support and guidance in the coming years.
