Consultation Workshop for DM training centre [Myanmar]
Relief and Resettlement Department, Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement in Myanmar is planning to establish Disaster Management Training Centre within three coming years. They organized“Consultation Workshop on developing Capacity Building Strategy through the establishment of Disaster Management Training Centre in Myanmar” with the cooperation with DRRWG on 2nd July to 4th July in Thingaha Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw.Board Chairman of SEEDS Asia, Dr. Rajib Shaw was invited as resource person to share his experiences and suggestions for capacity building programme as President of Asia University Network for Environment and Disaster Management, and Kyoto University. SEEDS Asia Myanmar team has been the member of Thematic Working Group for this event as well as further process for establishment of the training centre with other organizations; UNDP, UNHABITAT, JICA, and ADPC.
