We conducted the second training session for our MOFA project, “Enhancing Comprehensive School Safety in Collaboration with Community in Hinthada Township.” The session focused on recognizing the hazard risks, vulnerabilities, and capabilities of the villages’ environment. The main activities were the formulation of: HVCA, seasonal calendar, disaster history, and hazard map through townwatching. We were happy to see the participants realize that a lot of knowledge necessary in disaster risk reduction actually already exists within!
