February 11, SEEDS Asia organized a roundtable to discuss the role of media in DRR. Senior Editor of Kobe Newspaper, Mr. Naganuma visited Dhaka and gave a presentation on how Kobe Newspaper is delivering messages on DRR to people showing Kobe newspaper articles that focused various issues and challanges around DRR in Japan. He also shared his personal experience in the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. The roundtable was moderated by Prof. Golam Rahman, a former information commissioner of Bangladesh and the floor very actively exchanged opinions and questions with the Japanese media expert. Award ceremony for the DRR Media Fellowship was also held to appreciate great work done by the ten fellow journalists.
