Danao City 1-day DRRM seminar participation [Philippines]
On August 22, 2017, SEEDS Asia was invited as one of the speakers by the DepEd (Department of Education) Danao City Division to give an overview of the “Support Project on the Promotion of School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management” partnership initiative. This is to inform the participants of the current efforts of not just the government, but also of NGO partners, particularly SEEDS Asia, for the improvement of school DRRM (Disaster Risk Reduction Management) in Cebu Province. The event was a 1-day seminar for the orientation of all the school heads and school DRRM Coordinators from 58 schools under the Division of Danao City as part of the requirement of the DepEd National for all the Division DRRM Coordinators in the Philippines to provide an overview of the published School DRRM Manual released last year to all the schools under each Division’s jurisdiction
