Memorandum of Understanding Signing with Naga city [Philippines]
Today on August 2, 2017, a signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City Government of Naga, SEEDS Asia and the Department of Education (DepEd) Naga City Division was held to strengthen the partnership for the Project. The City Mayor, Hon. Kristine Vanessa T. Chiong, signed the MOU on behalf of the City of Naga, whereas the Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Senen P. Paulin, signed for DepEd Naga City Division. Witness signatories to the Ceremony is the Officer-In-Charge of Naga City Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM), Hon. Carmelino Cruz, Naga City Division DRRM Focal Person, Mr. Conrado Dejarme Jr., and the nominated Pilot School – Uling Elementary School Head, Ms. Jennifer Acedillo. Previously on July 28, 2017, SEEDS Asia Cebu has met with the Mayor and DRRM Officer to introduce the School DRRM Project and the support needed for its successful implementation. Naga City is one of the Pilot areas of SEEDS Asia in Cebu Province. The City Mayor has expressed her strong support for the Project and requested the close involvement of their DRRM Officer in its implementation. Furthermore, Mayor Chiong has said that they hope to replicate the positive outputs of the Project to other schools under the City of Naga.
