School Disaster Resilience Assessment (SDRA) [Philippines]
As part of establishing the baseline data for Support Project on Promotion of School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management in Cebu Province, SEEDS Asia conducted a School Disaster Resilience Assessment (SDRA) survey for the whole month of July (3-27 July). A total of 30 schools were surveyed from the 10 pilot divisions. The beneficiaries of the Project were consisted of 10 Department of Education Divisions, and each Division chose 3 schools including the chosen Pilot School to answer the survey. The SDRA was conducted through an interview with the respondents composed of the school heads and school Disaster Risk Reduction and Management focal persons. The Questionnaire was designed to assess the level of educational resilience to cope with natural disasters using 5 dimensions such as the physical condition, human resources, institutional issues, external relationships and natural conditions.
