5th November has been designated as “World Tsunami Awareness Day”. The day was decided based on the fact-based-story called “Inamurano-hi” which described how a village head, Mr. Hamaguchi could save lives of people by knowledge and early warning at the Ansei Nankai Earthquake & Tsunami in 1854. With the support from Yamasa Corporation, SEEDS has been spreading this story through paper slide show at more than 35,000 people in 350 schools in Myanmar!
